Back in June of this year, we announced an end of maintenance for our v.5 platform that will take place March 31, 2020.
Since that time, we have reached out to many of our valuable v.5 customers to help with the transition to one of our new ministry-forward platforms. Many have responded and are well on the way to a newer and more robust solution that will serve their ministry for years to come.
We know that there are those out there who are still weighing their options and examining the solutions and we want to help.
What does an ‘end of maintenance’ mean?
Simply put, ‘end of maintenance’ means that after the date listed above, we will no longer provide updates to the v.5 platform including tax forms and tax tables (i.e. W-2, 1099, 941, etc.). The software will not be disabled, so those who still wish to use v.5 can continue to do so, and we will continue to support your needs as best we can by answering questions and providing training.
What are our options?
The good news is we have two robust solutions we can offer for managing membership (ShelbyNext Membership and Arena) as well as our reliable ShelbyNext Financials solution for accounting. Both Arena and ShelbyNext Financials can be self hosted or hosted in the cloud. We have set up a web page specifically to help you get an overview of these solutions. Because we know cost can be an issue for some, we have created two ways to help make the move more affordable:
- TWO MONTHS FREE – We have a limited-time offer where we will wave two months of your church management fees if you convert and go live on a new platform before Dec. 31, 2018.*
- GIVING CO-OP – If your church uses ShelbyNext Giving, our online giving solution, we are offering a discount on your church management fees based on the amount of giving done through our product.
