Today’s
spotlight shines on Shelby Systems’ newest Account Executive: JOHN CROWELL.
John may be the
latest addition to the Account Executive team, but he has many years of
previous experience. Before partnering with Shelby, John held both sales and
leadership roles for more than 15 years. He is a recent graduate from the
Leadership Charleston Class of 2017. In the past, John has been involved in
leading client acquisition efforts, leveraging client relationships and
solution selling techniques.
John currently
oversees the Northeast United States territory for Shelby Systems.

know: JOHN CROWELL
Hello, my name
is John Crowell, and I have been an Enterprise Account Executive with Shelby
Systems for about 3 months now. I live and work remotely in Charleston, SC with
my wife Christie, my daughter Addison Claire, my son Hayes Carter, and our
Chocolate Labrador Maverick. Our family moved from Indiana to Charleston about
three and a half years ago with our eyes on living the laid-back beach life.
What I enjoy
most about my job is building client relationships and striving to exceed any
expectations set before me. I joined Shelby Systems back in May because of a
desire to fulfill the calling of God’s plan to help organizations achieve their
ministry goals. When I’m not involved in helping churches to thrive, you can
find me spending time with my family at the beach, enjoying outdoors
activities, and traveling.
I was honored
recently by being nominated for an exclusive leadership program put on by the
Charleston, South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. I graduated the 10-month course
in 2017. The program allows for immersion and interactions with diverse leaders
in the community. The Chamber has been running this program for over 45 years.
In recent
years, I have also obtained both Series 7 & 66 Securities Licenses issued
by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Lastly, I was
blessed to graduate Indiana State University with a B.S. in Insurance and Risk
Management in 2013.
On a miraculous
note, I was born with a rare foot disorder where both of my feet were faced
outward, like a penguin. I have undergone multiple corrective surgeries that
left me with some cool scars, and one foot is a shoe size bigger than the
other. This situation sure does make shoe shopping interesting!
Today, I am thankful to be able to take walks with my wife Christina, son Hayes and daughter Addison.
